Diabetes and Pregnancy: An Overview
Diabetes during pregnancy, or Gestational Diabetes is a medical condition involving abnormally high blood sugar levels that starts during pregnancy.
Between 3 and 8 percent of pregnant women will get diabetes during pregnancy.The condition goes away after the baby is born but it can increase the risk of developing diabetes later in life and can pose risks for both mother and child if left untreated.
